About the Organisation

The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Commencing in 1978, BRAMS was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia. BRAMS is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members.

BRAMS provides comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care services to Aboriginal people living in Broome.

Key Responsibilities

BRAMS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Officer to join their close-knit team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Administration Team Leader, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide effective and efficient transport to patients to attend health appointments. The positions will also assist with the day to day operations of the clinic through medication deliveries and other duties as required.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Display a strong commitment to safe driving at all times;
  • Provide transport to patients to and from the clinic and other medical services as required;
  • Accurately record all patient transport movements and interactions on MMEx;
  • Complete log sheets and other relevant documentation in an accurate and legible manner to ensure correct information is effectively communicated through the appropriate channels;
  • Operation of vehicle to be in accordance with the BRAMS Motor Vehicle Policy.

BRAMS are seeking a candidate who has a previous experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service and demonstrated ability to work effectively with various health professionals.

Due to the nature of this role, a current driver’s licence is required.
