Social and Emotional Wellbeing

The Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) team provides a confidential, culturally responsible and sensitive service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may be facing challenges in their lives which are impacting upon their social and emotional wellbeing.

 The SEWB Program provides the following services:

  • Goal-setting
  • Cultural activities
  • Counselling
  • Outreach
  • Advocacy
  • Transport and travel assistance
  • Referrals to specialist services

Our experienced Case Managers will work with you on a holistic and individualised treatment plan that meets your personal needs and helps you achieve your individual goals. This may also include referring you to other relevant services or agencies for further support.

Anyone can refer to the SEWB program. Some examples of referrals can be from the following:

  • Self-referral through the completion of a form
  • Internally from a GP, Nurse or Aboriginal Health Worker
  • A referral from a school or other service provider
